Ventimiglia, sabato 14 ottobre 2017.

Testo originale:

9 of us with some banners and musical instruments arrived around 2.45 p.m. Casapound was still struggling to put up their gazebo and there were many police in their finest costumes, maybe 10 or 15.
We waited until they were set up then a few of us went to ask Casapound some questions. Already i poliziotti were suspicious of them.In the end we all started to move together.

I poliziotti stopped us subito before we could do anything, and they confiscated our banners and demanded documents. Even after they had taken our banners and there was no way we could “manifest” in any case, they told us repeatedly just to shut up, that we were “just looking for trouble”, that we “need to speak Italian because we’re in Italy” and that we were resisting arrest (based on ‘illegal manifestation’ which we never accomplished in the first place.)

Everyone except me gave documents (because the one asking for mine was clandestino and wouldn’t show me his documents first). This whole time I was screaming in Italian and English that we had the right to speak and that they were blocking our right to speak freely while protecting fascists, and we were also chanting ‘siamo tutti antifascisti’ with the drum.

Both people from Casapound and poliziotti were filming us so I and another took out our phones to film, but the police told us we weren’ t allowed to film police and tried to take our phones (they did not succeed). Meanwhile, one of us Marc tried to nonviolently walk out of a circle of cops and they twisted his wrist behind his back and dragged him into a bank, out of sight of the public, and shoved him against a wall, then put him in a police car. After they took Elle (though she complied completely and did nothing wrong). I tried to grab but soon they were also shoving me into a car (with instruments on my back and around my neck which they stupidly tried to tear off me even though they were strapped to me so in the end they had to take me back out of the car to take them off, cretini). In my car was also Michelle.

In the car Elle was taken they smashed another car speeding to the station that was a kilometer and a half away. Once there the women and men were separated, strip searched the women, our finger prints and pictures were taken along with all our possessions. Two of our German comrades during the perquisizione were accused of being nazis and asked if they “like to gas people”, unmotivated acts of aggression to illicit violence.
We were there waiting for about five hours while they did nothing (literally, where we could see them.) When they finally gave us the papers to sign, they provided no real translator, just some guy from Red cross who seemed very confused and could not speak English nor italian. My italian was better than his.

We all signed in the end, even though we all knew it was bullshit.

They tried to get Vincent to sign a paper on smuggling charges from June (which he was clever enough not to sign even though of course they explained nothing of what the papers said.)

They separated the French from everyone else and said the police had to escort them to the border. We tried to convince our french not to comply with this but they were just told it was the procedure, wouldn’t say anything about what the procedure was for foreigners, and we just told to “shut up if they can’t speak italian” they did it anyway and drove to Menton with poliziotti following. Then they released us and returned our stuff without another word.

Apparently we will receive some post about a tribunale at some point.

According to local newspaper we are of “no borders” kitchen.
